An American Draft Dodger In Thunder Bay

One of my many photos taken from the 29th Annual Toronto Gay Pride Parade.
This year's theme was CAN'T STOP WON'T STOP.
Although I got hundreds of beautiful photos, I am far too lazy to sort through them and edit and upload them all.
This one, though, means a lot to me. I cheered so hard when the few people from the War Resistors Support Campaign walked through. I like the idea that my country can be a refuge for people running from military troubles they do not support.

That's their website, where you can learn more about the Canadian and American politics surrounding the problem.

The quote on the man's shirt is from Pierre Trudeau and reads:
"Canada should be a refuge from militarism"

I agree. One of my main problems with "globalism" is as all the countries get closer together it becomes harder to get away from the BS of one country. If the USoA reinstated the draft, I don't know if Canada would be safe refuge anymore. A draft dodger would have to go to Cuba, Venezuela, or some other nation that isn't trying to suck up to the great American bully.
